Lagging . . . . but for a good reason

I know every time I post something I always comment on how much I am lagging and I promise that I will keep up with this thing so the people important in our lives can stay in touch with what is going on, especially with Emerson. I have a good reason why this is so far behind I promise!!!!

Things have been insane lately!!! I gave my notice at work to explore other avenues of careers and to finish my school. Which I will be complete with Credential and all by this time next year, hopefully soon. Emerson turned 2 and this little loveable, sometimes, monster has emerged into the VERY TERRIBLE TWOs for the most part. We still have our good moments but the tantrums and jealousy seem to be out numbering the good right now but we are working on that. The binky is almost gone. A friend of mine suggested we slowly cut the pacifier itself and I have slowly been doing that. Emerson thinks its broke but yet still finds some way to suck on the thing but her need for it is slowly starting to go away. When this stage has been completed and there is no longer a binky let the potty training commence. I tried it earlier in the summer and I just don't think she was quite ready for it. But I feel she is getting close, she wants to wear princess panties like her cousin!!!

So many great things to look forward here in the coming weeks we are all very exciting. A new little edition will be joining the family here very soon and we can not wait for her arrival!!!! A new path has opened for Emerson and I and I know that this is something that will be the best for us and I am so happy to being seeing the light at the end of this long tunnel for school!!! Life is really great for us now and it's only getting better. Thanks to our family for all your support and love will Emerson and I continue on our little journey!!!

2 years ago

I can't believe 2 years ago today , 11:14 P.M. to be exact, this blond hair blue eyed girl came into my life and changed my world for the better. Of course she decided to come into this world her own way, nothing has changed much for her since that day. This little girl is so smart but I might be a little partial to this. Everyday is a new adventure for her and I and those around us. She now has her big girl bed and she now freely roams around the room when she doesn't want to sleep. She has fallen off her bed a few times and I have found her sound asleep on the floor next to the bed a couple of times already. She makes me smile and laugh every day at her independence and the little girl that she is becoming.

She has mind of her own and is very strong willed, sometimes maybe a little to much for my liking. She is as sassy as they come but loving to every person she meets. She has a good heart and is caring and loves to be around people all the time. The more the merrier to her because she has a blast with anything that she does. She is a little water baby and can not be in the pool enough. She can swim on her own with the help of a little floaty swim suit and she wouldn't have it any other way.

I love this girl more than life itself and everyday is the best with her in it!!! Watching her grow and turn in to the most amazing child the past 2 years has been the best thing that I have been able to experience. Although very trying at times I wouldn't change it!!! I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and I but I know it's going to be an amazing one!!

To Big

Emerson is just getting to big for her own good it seems lately!!!! I can't help the fact that she is no longer my little baby girl but she is momma's big girl, actually she is more Papa's girl but that is another story, that she is to sassy for words. She is my blond hair blue eye big girl who now has a big girl bed and momma can FINALLY put her hair in piggies!!! Although the top of her hair still seems to be having growing issue. I think I need to get her some miracle grow for her hair. She is so independent and is exploring everything to do herself. She speaks more clearly now and she makes sure that everyone in the entire room knows what she is saying, she does not have an inside voice what-so-ever.

As her 2nd birthday is rapidly approaching I can't help but think how amazing this little girl in my life has been. She has made and changed everything in my life for the better and each days is that much brighter with her in it!!!! It's hard to imagine where my life would be or what it would be like without her in it. I feel truly blessed to have her in my life and how everyday is always something new for her and my family!!!

Can't Believe it

Yea Yea I know, before you say anything I have been a MAJOR slacker on this blog!!!!! I can't help it sometimes I just completely forget about this thing and if I do remember I just don't have anything clever or fun to talk about so it gets pushed back to the next days to-do lists!!! Anyways on to something fun!!!!!

In just a few short weeks ( less than 2) MY little baby girl is going to be 2, aaahhhhhhhh!!!! Totally freaking out here people, where has these last 2 years gone???? I feel like if I blink I miss so much!!!! It just feels like yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital. These past 2 years have been some of the hardest, trying but more importantly the best years so far. So many things I have been able to experience with her has just made everything that much better and special!!!!

Just a few updates on things we are working on with her. For starters I would lllllooooovvveeeeee for her to be potty trained by her birthday but that doesn't look like it's going to happen so hopefully by winter we can get this ball rolling!!!!! Emerson can count up to 4 and then she just starts saying random numbers, I must admit though it is kind of cute!!!! We trying to learn our colors but to her everything is pink, so that is still a work in progress!!! She is working on her ABC's and it is quite entertaining to watch this in progress. Emerson is so full of life and brings a smile to my face each and everyday I see her changing. She is little miss independent and wants to do EVERYTHING on her own and throws a screaming fit if she can't!!!!! This is a very trying process but it is amazing to watch her try and do things all by herself!!!! She is such a Papa's girl and she has him wrapped around her little finger, I love it!!!! I love how she is his little shadow and I am so blessed that she has such an amazing Papa in her life to be a huge male influence to her. He is already talking about what sports she is going to conquer when she gets older!!!!! He would be so thrilled if she took up golf, I would be excited in any adventure she wants to tackle. She adores her GG and loves to go swimming with her. She can't get enough of her cousin J even though they fight like cats and dogs most of the time. She adores her little "sissy" Ruby and cant give her enough kisses when she sees her. She loves her Auntie and always wants to go with her because she knows she will get to play with the girls if she does. That is just a few of the amazing people in her life and there are many more family members that have been a big part of her life since she was born. A few more cousins and one more on the way. I can't wait to see what the future hold for my little girl and our family!!!

So it begins a new adventure . . .

So this past week my sister was asked to do my cousin's baby shower invitations, I think she is fab in photoshop but that might just be me. Then she asked me to take the picks, of course I was super excited and nervous all in one little ball. No pressure right, wrong!! At least I put pressure on myself. I didn't want the pictures to turn out like crap these could go on her baby shower invites. So we all sent each other pictures of ideas and the direction we wanted to go and it was alot of fun!!! It's always great to spend time with family especially when it's for such a fun occasion!!! We can't wait to meet little Bella at the end of the summer!!! She will make the great-grand kid count 4- girls to 1-boy!!!!

Lost but not forgotten

Wow I don't even know where the last 2 months have gone, I have completely neglected this poor blog. Things have been busy, crazy, and amazing all rolled up into 1 big ball. School is out for the summer and we are having a blast. It's finally super hot here, call me crazy but I love it. Here are some pics over the last few months. I promise I will keep up with this thing. I know you guys like to see what's going on with little miss Emerson and the rest of the gang.

Busy busy busy

Wow I hadn't realized how much time has flown by and how long it has been since I had posted anything. So much has happened in the last month I don't even know where to begin. I have started my credential/masters program in March and this next year is going to be one crazy busy year finishing with school, it feels almost never ending but I can some what see the a little speck of light at the end of the tunnel.

Emerson is just growing by the second and changing just as fast. This little one seems to surprise me on a daily basis on the things that she is learning and saying. She is putting 2 and 3 word phrases together now and has the sweetest (when she wants) personality and just brings a smile to everyone's face when she is around. She has become quite the drama queen lately when she doesn't get what she wants and I have no idea where she gets this from hehe. I can't believe my little white hair girl is going to be 2 this year it just seems like everyday gets so much better with her in it!!!!

The other girls in the family are just as amazing and sweet natured. J is just full of spunk and energy and LOVES coming over to play in the dirt with Emerson. Those girl can't wait for little Ruby to get big enough to play with them.

I have a smarty on my hands

Let the potty trainig process begin!!!!! I haven't really pushed the issue of potty training with Emerson yet I was wanting to wait till the summer time to really work with her. But she told me yesterday that she had to go potty and climbed up on the toilet by herself granted she still had her clothes on so I had to help her but after 3 tries we finally had success!!! I can't believe my baby girl is almost 19 months old she is growing so fast!!!!! Wish us luck

This weekend

This was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time!!! My friends and family helped me celebrate graduating with my BA finally after being on the 9 year program haha. It was really great to have all, well most, the people in the room together that have supported me with nothing but prayers, love and encouragement through this process. Although it was/has been a long process but I know it will pay off in the end and all of it will be well worth it. All my all little girls (3 nieces and 1 daughter) pulled all their money together from their piggies (hehe) and got me the cutest bracelet ever and I am always going to love it!!! It is very special!!!! Everyone that was able to attend they are all amazing and very special people close to my heart and I love them all dearly.

Sunday was Valentines day and it was nothing but the best to stay in your PJs with the special people in your life!!! Love bug got a super cute pj set that makes her look like a ballerina. She was so excited about her tutu and wore it all day. Then she found these boots that used to be J's and she had to wear them with her outfit. She is such a shoe freak just like her GiGi!!!!! She reminded me of Jim Carey in Ace Venture when acts like he belongs in the mental ward., you will just know what I am talking about!!!

What a weekend

Man this last week has been somewhat crazy and to think I didn't have school work to add on top of the madness. This was the last week we had family in town before they had to fly out so there was many things to get done before they left. My g-granny was moving out of town with my gma & pampy so we went to LA to take them to the airport on Saturday. The weather was insane and it poured like crazy and was super hard to drive in especially when you hydroplane on the freeway. We got to Valencia and went to mom's fav place for lunch and even a special person came and visited with us!!! Then Sunday sister had a super bowl/bday party at their house and it was great!!! There is nothing like spending great time with family even if the weekends feel way to short!!!

FINALLY . . .

I have graduated!!!!!!!!! Saturday I turned in my last assignment and I could not be more excited that I finally have my BA!!!!!!! Thank you to all that have supported me and given me the prayers and strength and encouraging words through this whole process.

This Saturday Emerson and I went to one of our fav spots for dinner with some friends of ours. There is nothing like spending time with good friends and good food!!!! Emerson had a great time will all the attention she was getting!!!!

She has arrived !!!!!!!

Paislie Brooke Preciado has finally made her debut!!!!! January 20, 2010 9:24 am, a day before for mommy's birthday!!!! She weighed in at a whooping 6lbs 9oz and was 20 inches long. She is beautiful and she is auntie's little peanut!!!!! Her and mommy are healthy and are at home with her daddy and her sisters Jadyn and Olivia. I think she looks just like Olivia but with Jadyn's little nose!!!!!

So it begins . . . .

I finally have started my very LAST class of my Bachelors degree, woohoo!!!! This time has been a long time in the making, umm can I say almost 10 years!!! But you know what I just have to look at it and be proud that I am finishing. Granted it took a little bit longer but I went back and I am finishing!!!! I want Emerson to look at me and be proud and know that no matter how hard things are and you may have all kinds of different obstacles anything is possible if you just stick to it! So I have about 3 weeks left before I officially graduate and I couldn't be more excited!!! I also have a niece that could come at anytime now and I can't wait to see her little squishy face!!! So this month is going to be one crazy exciting month and I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Update

Wow, it's been a long time since I have posted anything. Things have been super crazy at our house during the holidays so many amazing memories made this year with the kiddos. Emerson is at the age where she is able to enjoy Christmas a little bit more than last year which she slept the whole time. We all were blessed as a family this year and I (we) have so much to be thankful for and to look forward too.

I just started my last class for my bachelor's degree and will be done in just a few weeks, yahoo!!!!! I am so excited I can barely stand it. My niece will also be here in just a few short weeks so I am very excited for her to get here, all the kids are excited as well. Jadyn just wants her to get here finally so they can play like her and Emerson do!!!! So many things to look forward to this year we are all very excited!!!!
