o on Tuesday me and Emmie packed up our things after work and went to the Palace for the Luke Bryan concert (those pics coming soon). As the concert is getting ready to start who other than the lead singer from the Smokin Armadillos has a table next to us. *** If you are from Bako and you like country you will know who they are. So anyways Emmie decides that she is going to make a leap for it and catch the attention of the lead singer Rick and he amazingly grabs out to hold her. She doesn't really act like that with people she doesn't know especially guys. But as the concert is going on he is singing to her, by the way he has an amazing voice, could listen to him sing all day long. He was great with her and Emerson loved it so much she couldn't stop laughing and having a blast.

St. Jude Radio-a-thon

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G that is all I have to say from this past 2 days from our radio-a-thon for St. Jude. We (kern county) raised over $141,000 in just 2 days. I truely believe this is something awesome that we were able to do something like this. As a mother myself those past two days were very trying to listen to and hear the experiences that these parents had with their children and St. Judes. Not every story had a happy ending but just knowing that there is someone (St. Jude) out there that is willing to do everything possible to try and help save your child's life is a good feeling. I hope and pray that I will never have to use St. Jude for my daughter but it's is somewhat comforting to know that there is something out there like that. It gives me chills that especially in this time that strangers are willing to open up their wallets to help with this great cause. It's a good feeling to know that there are still good people in this world.

7 months old

I can't believe it, it still seems like yesterday my baby girl was born. She turned 7 mo old yesterday and so many changes have taken place since that hot day in August. My baby girl is finally starting to sprout some fuzz that looks like hair. She has 2 thats right 2 teeth coming in at the same time and for that reason these past few weeks have been very trying on my nerves trying to make her as pain free as possible. I think I have that down for the most part but it's still a work in progress. My little chunker is trying to crawl. She can get on her knees and rock but she hasn't quite figured out the whole motion thing but it's coming together. It won't be long before she is moving all over the place and I can't wait for those moments. She is the chunkiest squishable little girl ever and I am truely blessed that she will get to call me mom and she is my daughter. With all the things I have gone through in the past year I would not change a thing because I know that god has chosen this path for and there is something amazing that comes along with it. Times have been tough, being a single mother is not walk in the park, but I get to wake up to my daughter everyday and see her smiling little chubby cheeks and I feel like the luckiest person in the world. I do have the most amazing family and friends in the world and thank you guys I love you all. Emerson and I blessed to have you all in our lives.

St. Jude

Many of you know that St. Jude's is a children's hospital in TN helping fight childhood cancers of all forms. I work at a Radio station here in town that has a radio-a-thon to help raise money for this hospital and there amazing efforts. St. Jude is a hospital that helps families that could not afford the special care that their little ones would need to fight their disease. Country Cares for Kids has been around for 20 years helping raise over $300 million dollars for this cause. This cause is so amazing but at the same time its very hard to hear these families struggles to help their little ones. Cancer does not just effect the patient it effects the whole entire family and especially if the patient is only a child. I know times are tough for everyone out there but please just tune in to the station next Thursday and Friday the 12th and 13th and listen to some of the stories, hopefully you will be inspired to help out. You never know when you or a loved one could be in that position one day. =)

Well not really I sort of cheated last week and found some spoilers for the show. I really thought Jason and Melissa would work out but hey life gets in the way sometimes. But honestly on National Television he humiliated this girl and tells her he wants to try it with the girl he originally let go?!?!? Wow I guess I would give him credit for being honest and not faking it just for the show just like the rest of them. But WOW I thought he was a good bachelor different from those other losers that go on that show. At least he was smart enough to tell that fame whore Deanna to kick rocks.

IT'S MONDAY

Overwhelmed

So lately I have felt just completely overwhelmed by everything. Emerson teething and trying to crawl, school, work, and just life in general. There are moments that I just want to scream at the top of my lungs I JUST NEED A BREAK!!!!! I know don't get me wrong I am very thankful for everything that I have but when you are single mom it's just you in most cases and it is very trying on your nerves and your patience when you are the only one there. But anyways sometime you just need a good laught and this video gave me exactly that. These are the little moments that would make my day!!!
