Summertime

There is nothing like summertime when you come around the corner and look at the finished product of leaving the sight of children for all of 1 minute and this is what happens.

PS The picture does not do it justice, Emerson has layers of dirt in her hair and all over her face.

Partner in Crime

She is a mellow baby that goes along for the ride with mommy when I have errands I have to do. She rides in the car great, but only for short amounts of time now that she is walking she would rather be outside playing than in the car. But she has begun to kick her feet and shake her little booty (sometimes) when there is music on.

Update

Emerson had a check up today. She is 22 lbs 4 oz. 29 1/2 inches long and her head 18 inches around, yes that's right that is one big melon head, that finally is getting more hair that is white I might add. The Dr said she is in the top 74% for her age in every category so my little baby girl is on the upper end for her age woohoo!

The little vacuum

My little pride and joy gets into everything! I mean everything from dog food, to eating dirt or seeds outside, to dragging out the chalk and eating it. This little one keeps me on my toes and she wants to figure everything out. I am totally ok about the dirt think it won't be forever that she will do that but other things I can live without, like the dog food or rocks. She makes me laugh everyday I especially love the face she gives me when she has been caught doing something she knows she shouldn't be doing.

A Weekend of firsts

This was a pretty relaxed weekend for Emerson and I but there were a few first for little missy. This weekend I can actually say that my daughter knows how to walk, but only when she wants to. She walked all the way across the living room with no help so I know she can do it, its just easier for her to use her chair as her walker. She knows how to give high fives and does it with enthusism and she knows where your nose it, that is courtesy of her papa. Yet again she was a fish all weekend in the pool and loves the time she gets to swim with her cousin J. Although it wasn't the first nor will it be the last I caught her eating a handful of dirt and nothing says cute like a guilty look on the face with the evidence to prove it!

11 months old

11 months ago today the best thing happened in my life, my daughter was born. I can't believe how fast things have gone and how much they have changed for the better for us. Everyday is a new day for us and a new little thing learned for the both of us. Through all the struggles of the occasional sleepless nights, whining because of teething, or crying just to hear her own voice but the best thing of all is getting to see her little toothy grin everyday I wake up and when I come home from work. School has defintely been more of a challenge this past year but I know I am so close (January) to finishing better things are yet to come for Emerson and I. I want to thank all of my family and friends that have been a huge part of our lives and we couldn't have done it without you guys.

PS- a little update, little Ms. Emerson had decided to take her time in walking. She can take a few steps here and there but has chosen to take her little plastic chair and push it around the house. She looks like her Granny pushing her walker. She is mobile and it is a crack up. She is a little fish and loves to go swimming with her cousin J and her princess toys. She is my little tan white hair baby. My pride and joy and what I live for.

Gotta love her

J cracks me up. Her mom has tried so hard to get her to wear flip-flops but J refused everytime. It is a struggle none the least but some how she has decided to wear them. Not only does she wear them she wants to put them on herself. This is how she showed up at our house with her shoes on!
